The 21st edition of Hong Kong International Lighting Fair Autumn Edition 2019 gets underway tomorrow (October 27-30) at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Over 2700 exhibitors from 35 countries/regions, including India would vie for the visitor attention. On the visitor side also, India is quite visible at the show each year. The fair continues to be seen as an international and authoritative show on the lighting industry.
Exhibiting countries at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair include the workhorses from countries like Germany, USA, UK, Japan, Korea. What is interesting to note is that countries like Seychelles, Anguilla and Greece (a new entrant) also are finding the value and exposure that the show brings to their businesses.
The much talked about, and one of the highlights of the fair – The Hall Of Aurora will bring together over 500 exhibitors and 650 brands. Other highlight zones at the fair include Commercial Lighting (547 exhibitors), LED Lighting (1032) and Residential Lighting (385). A new section on Connected Living/Smart Home will be of much interest to the visitors at the fair.
Last year (2018), 44,632 buyers attended the fair, with an uptrend of 4.4% over the previous year. Maybe, 2019 could be even better. Two concurrent events being organized include HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo (October 29-November 1) and Eco Expo Asia (October 30-November 2). Both these shows are held at the AWE Centre with the organisers running complimentary bus services between the two venues (HKCEC and AWE).
