About International Home Décor, Furniture & Home Textile Virtual Expo

This virtual expo will connect participating companies from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Korea, and Vietnam. It will welcome leading industry buyers from across the ASEAN countries but primarily from Thailand. Thailand remains considered the gateway to ASEAN due to its strategic location of being at the center of most ASEAN countries.

  • 6+ International Participating Countries
  • 10 ASEAN countries with a focus on Thailand
  • FICCI India Pavilion with 50 + companies

The focus on ASEAN is due to the fact that the economic partnership between India and ASEAN has continued to strengthen since the ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement (AIFTA) coming into effect in 2009.

The FTA offers opportunities for Indian manufacturers and exporters seeking long-term business via joint ventures/collaborations at the virtual expo. Total trade between India and ASEAN remains valued at US$86 billion in 2020, from US$59 billion in 2017. Thus there was a clear growth that was only slowed by the pandemic.

At the same time, India-ASEAN trade has the potential to reach US$300 billion by 2025. ASEAN remains already the world’s third most populous economy. Now, it moves to make the fourth-largest single market by 2030, with a GDP of US$7 trillion.

Furthermore, domestic consumption remains expected to reach US$4 trillion. Also, the population too will rise to 723 million from 648 million currently. In the ASEAN region, Thailand ranks as India’s 5th largest trading partner after Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Have an Interactive Online Experience

Mr. Rajesh Bhagat, MD of Worldex India and organizer of the virtual expo, “The Bee2Bee online platform remains dedicated to bringing business back on track. It does so by connecting quality suppliers and genuine buyers onto one networking platform. This platform delivers all the benefits of a physical trade fair coupled with the safety of an online interactive experience. We are confident that this International Home Décor, Furniture & Home Textile Virtual Expo will go far in strengthening international business partnerships in the Home Décor, Furniture & Home Textile sectors.”

Looking at scaling up business in this area of the globe, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) has formed a FICCI India Pavilion with 50 + companies at this virtual expo. Also, the participating companies will showcase and promote ‘Made in India’ Home Décor, Furniture, Home Textiles, Handicrafts, Houseware, Apparel, Textiles, Medical Textiles, Fibers & Yarns products.

This one-to-one business matching week at the Home Textile Virtual Expo by Worldex receives support by:

  1. Buying Agents Association (BAA), India
  2. The India–Thai Chamber of Commerce in Thailand
  3. The Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM)
  4. The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL).
