Components of a sliding door
1. Track: The track line should ideally be twice the length of the door to ensure its works effectively. Also, multiple track lines are used when the doors move side-by-side.
2. Brackets: You can choose from wall brackets or soffit brackets. Since the number of brackets is selected on the basis of the track length, check the bracket interval to ensure a perfect fit.
3. Jump Block: Mounted on top of a door, a jump block does not hamper its functioning. Although it does not affect the operation of the door, it fills the void between the door and the track so that the door does not fall off when it slides.
4. Wheels: External doors require steel wheel components, while internal doors require nylon wheels.
5. Hangers and fixing plates: Sliding doors require 2 pieces of hangers per door. Fixing plates are used to fix the hangers to the top of the doors.
6. Stops: Used inside the track, the stop limits the door movement. Additionally, a wall stop prevents the hitting of a door.
7. Bottom guide: Installed on the floor, the bottom guide component prevents the sliding door from swinging.
