LED Expo Mumbai is India’s only trade fair focusing completely on the light industry. The organiser of the LED Expo is Messe Frankfurt. The biennial light and the building event in Frankfurt, Germany, serves as the event’s centerpiece. The forthcoming LED Expo lighting trade show in India will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai from 3 to 5 April, 2025. This year’s event is expected to have a turnaround of 200+ exhibitors and more than 6000 products.
The lighting exhibition, LED Expo Mumbai, will showcase cutting-edge products and ideas, including smart lights, LEDs for design and décor, atmospheric lighting and wellness, and innovative approaches to problem-solving such as biomimicry in lighting applications. With more than 20 exhibitors, the electrical area has seen expansion for the upcoming edition.
Key takeaways from the LED Expo Mumbai exhibitor survey
- Smart lighting and automation products are gradually becoming a part of routine in many tier 1 cities. Major commercial projects and architectural buildings are using them. Due to logistics, supply chain management, power outages, etc., it is challenging to accommodate this in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
- Exhibitors noted many components are sourced internationally.
- LED Expo Mumbai highlights government schemes and initiatives that support premium LED products and automated systems. Through programs like the Smart Cities Mission and increasing household demand, it is easier for the LED components to be a part of the Indian household.
- The rural electrification program installs solar-powered LED lights, particularly in the northeast.
