At the Sustainable Comfort Conclave held in Delhi, hosted by Racold and co-powered by BuildingandInteriors, the spotlight was on innovation, energy efficiency, and sustainability in the water heating industry. The event drew on the brand’s legacy and highlighted the company’s six-decade-long commitment to delivering high-performance heat pump water heaters and sustainable heating technologies in India and across the globe. This sustainability comfort conference emphasised the continuous advancements in technology development. Furthermore, it highlighted improvements in quality, safety, and design that shape the future of sustainable comfort. The conclave also reflected on Racold’s unmatched achievements that continue to redefine energy efficiency benchmarks in the industry.

Sustainable Comfort Conclave, Delhi, 2025 

The Sustainable Comfort Conclave ’25 is the beginning of a much larger movement towards sustainable living. It is a first-of-its-kind event by Racold. The event was full of insights and innovations with India’s leading architects, MEP consultants, plumber contractors, and real estate developers. During the conference, the panellists explained the concept of retrofitting heat pumps and water heaters, answered top client questions on sustainability, shared on-ground development examples in India and much more. There were discussions on evolving smart bathroom design, planning and installation tips, greener goals and more. 

Key highlights 

Event venue

The conclave took place at the JW Marriott in Aerocity, New Delhi. Designed to reflect the values of sustainability and innovation, the venue is LEED certified by the Indian Green Building Council. The venue layout, materials, and design subtly reinforced the event’s eco-conscious messaging.

Cross-disciplinary approach

The conclave witnessed an impressive turnout of architects, designers, builders, developers, sustainability consultants, HVAC and MEP professionals, policymakers, and government representatives, which promoted interdisciplinary collaboration. This helps accelerate the adoption of heat pumps in India.

Knowledge transfer sessions

Multiple keynote and panel discussions were held to discuss sustainable living, building practices, energy-efficient heating solutions, a greener future and many more. Experts, including Tanjua BK, Mohit Narula, KD Singh, Vishwanathan D, Manoj Singh, Kunal Chaudhari, Mukesh Kumar Gour, Ashutosh Dwivedi, and Sriman Narain shared insights on how heat pumps balance luxury, efficiency and sustainability. Furthermore, it was discussed that for heat pump systems to truly become a part of mainstream Indian living, architects and MEP consultants need to collaborate from day one.

Focus on sustainable heat pumps in India

One of the speakers shared that due to the growth in infrastructure and the building industry, there is a huge requirement for electrical consumption, demand load, etc. He further adds that the current regulatory measures will gradually fade out the use of electrical heaters. Additionally, the focus will shift to more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions like the heat pump. 

Sustainable heat pump technologies in India

Today, new constructions offer water heating solutions that match the demands for air conditioners. Experts now view it as the foundational case for developing high-rise residential towers and buildings.

Sustainability is not a choice anymore, but needs to be looked at more seriously. The event highlighted the possibility of a culmination of luxury and efficiency without compromise. The improving standard of living of households in India. As a result, heat pumps are the go-to choice for smart, sustainable and comfortable solutions.

The event also highlighted that we cannot walk the path to a sustainable future alone. It requires collaboration, a unifying objective, and authentic discussions.
