“Pop up my Bathroom” will again be the focus for creative bathroom concepts, architecture and design at the ISH 2025 opening in Frankfurt am Main from March 17 – 21 and shall feature exhibitions, talks, and discussions, presenting the latest products, trends and innovative ideas for bathrooms as an essential part of home living.
Pop up my Bathroom leads the way
How will bathrooms in the future look like? The ISH 2025 is ready to give solutions to this question focusing on topics like sustainability, resource-saving, comfort, and design trends. These developments shall be put on display at the “Pop up my Bathroom” exhibition. Launched 16 years ago by the German Sanitary Industry Association (VDS) and ISH, this exhibition has become a key event for modern bathroom design.
Living space of tomorrow: The bathroom as a wholesome space
Located in Hall 3.1 (Stand D71), the “Pop up my Bathroom” trend show brings the bathroom to life as a complete living space. It displays bathroom designs where walls, floors, colours, lighting, and fixtures all work in sync with each other. Created by the trend expert Frank A. Reinhardt, the exhibition provides many useful inputs and insights for architects and bathroom planners on current popular trends in bathroom design. Moreover, many top brands like Axor, Duravit, Hansgrohe, and Villeroy & Boch are participating in the exhibition. They shall be presenting new products related to modern bathroom design trends. The exhibition also highlights how bathrooms can meet diverse needs, from personal care and fitness to mental well-being.
Bathrooms built around people: A human-scale approach
This year, Pop up my Bathroom event focuses on people. It emphasizes how user needs are important while planning and creating a bathroom. The exhibition will also show how elements like bathroom products, walls, floors, lighting, materials, technology, sustainability, and the overall bathing experience all come together in modern bathroom design. However, if we ignore user needs, the bathroom lacks character despite being a functional space. What turns a bathroom into a living space in the real sense are the daily routines, those personal moments of physical relaxation and everyday rituals that are different for every member of a household. At Pop up my Bathroom 2025, the bathroom is a platform, designed to reflect these personal experiences and create a space that feels more than just functional – a place for everyday life and well-being.
Join the Pop up my Bathroom lecture program at the Design Plaza
The trend show will be explained and discussed at the Design Plaza lecture forum, with guided tours taking visitors through the show to explore new innovations in bathroom design. Located in Hall 3.1, the Design Plaza is the main spot for interior design trends and future developments in the sanitary industry at ISH 2025. This year, the program is curated by several partners, including VDS, the VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design Association, World Architects, Stylepark, and Architonic. Through the Pop up my Bathroom Trend Forum, VDS will highlight the latest trends in the sanitary industry with keynote speeches, round tables, and popular CEO talks and speed briefings, which were introduced at the last ISH.
24/7/365 trend and information platform
Pop up my Bathroom highlights new ideas and addresses the current challenges in the industry. The trend forum also aims to start conversations with architects, craftsmen, and bathroom planners. Lastly, the lecture program and the trend show will emphasize how the bathroom is becoming more important for home life, enjoyment, infrastructure, resource management, and the health and independence of users.
The platform for creative bathroom design, architecture, and trends is also available online at www.pop-up-my-bathroom.de. This website, managed by the German Sanitary Industry Association (VDS) and Messe Frankfurt, reaches around 650,000 creative professionals every year.
