Choosing responsibly-sourced Canadian Wood for visionary design of Nativ Restaurant

The architects placed great importance on selecting the right materials to bring their vision to life. Hence, they chose sustainably-harvested Canadian Wood, recognizing its responsible sourcing, durability, and aesthetic value. With prior experience using Canadian Wood in smaller projects, Shamna and Wojciech were well aware of its favorable qualities. To ensure the best outcome, the design team closely collaborated with FII India, benefiting from their expertise and guidance on different wood species and their suitable applications.

The use of solid wood elements in the Nativ restaurant created a rich and inviting ambience, adding a touch of sophistication and significantly enhancing the dining experience for patrons. Douglas-fir dominated the wooden decor, serving various purposes such as interior fit-outs, dining tables, chairs, and a striking staircase. This extensive use of Douglas-fir not only showcased its durability but also highlighted its contribution to sustainable design practices.
