The crown agency of the government of British Columbia (B.C.), Canadian Wood, is hosting another interesting webinar on ‘Best Practices in Furniture Manufacturing.’ The webinar is part of the ‘WOODINNOVATIONS’ series from Canadian Wood, which focuses on building with wood. During this session, industry experts will address best practices in the Indian furniture manufacturing industry, as well as the integration of Canadian Wood species in various furniture applications and the potential of designing with wood.
Canadian Wood is well-known for hosting a series of educational webinars on a variety of topics relevant to the Indian woodworking sector. The goal of the forthcoming webinar is to highlight best practices in the furniture manufacturing area, as well as the integration of Canadian wood species in various furniture applications.

The session will focus on the selection of the right wood species (moisture content/defects/end-use, etc.), sorting as well as handling of wood & wooden products. It will also cover aspects of cabinet making such as design, machining, and joinery. The webinar will also go over the skill ecosystem and woodworking techniques that aren’t exclusive to carpentry.
Industry experts, namely Mr. Ashok Kumar Jangir COO, I.EVO, Mr. Jimmy Thomas, Business Development Manager, Canadian Wood, and Mr. Rahul Mehta, CEO, Furniture and Fittings Skill Council (FFSC) will share their expertise on the best practices in furniture manufacturing. The webinar will be moderated by Mr. Rambeer Singh Yadav, Business Development Manager, Canadian wood.
