Canadian Wood hosts a seminar on “Versatility of Wood” for industry stakeholders in Hyderabad

The British Columbia (B.C.) provincial government’s crown corporation, Forestry Innovation Consulting India Pvt Ltd (FII India), popularly known as Canadian Wood, hosted a seminar in Hyderabad. The seminar, themed “Versatility of Wood,” highlighted the diverse uses of sustainably-sourced wood from B.C., Canada. The event also addressed the growing demand for sustainable wood species in India. It garnered significant attendance from manufacturers, contractors, architects, designers, builders, and developers.

Dr. Jimmy Thomas, Assistant Director of Technical Services at Canadian Wood, commenced the seminar by delivering a presentation on the versatility of Canadian Wood. Moreover, he elaborated on the distinctive characteristics of Canadian wood species, their sustainable nature, and their wide range of applications within the woodworking industry.

Among the notable speakers of the wood event from Hyderabad were Mr. A Chandra Shekar, Director of E-doors; Mr. P.L. Narayana, Founder of Nesca Homes; and Mr. Deepak Gupta, Director of Sales and Expansion at Artius Interior Products. They shared their experiences working with Canadian Wood and highlighted its contributions to their respective projects.
